Medical disclaimer

One mom to another, not a doctor: everything here is for learning and figuring out your options, not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a plan for your body. GLP-1 medicines aren't for use in pregnancy or while you're trying to conceive. Before you start, stop, or change anything, talk it through with a clinician who actually knows your history.

Let's be really clear: we're moms, not doctors. MomsOnGLP1 shares educational information about GLP-1 telehealth providers and what their signups are like. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a nudge to start or stop any medication. Your body, your history, and your goals are yours alone — only a licensed clinician who actually knows your case can advise you.

One thing we won't say quietly: GLP-1 medicines are not for use during pregnancy or while you're trying to conceive, and the usual guidance is to stop well before a planned pregnancy. They can also change how your body absorbs oral medications, including some birth control pills. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, hoping to be, or managing PCOS, thyroid or other hormonal stuff, please talk it through with your own clinician before acting on anything you read here.

Compounded GLP-1 medications are not FDA-approved finished drug products. When in doubt, ask a qualified healthcare professional — that's what they're there for, and it's not us.
